However, the wi-fi kept knocking us offline and was very slow - an issue we reported in 2014 and the hotel said would be addressed, but clearly wasn't any better a year later. The hotel is clean and the room was nice. Although staff was apologetic, they should have had more than one person trying to handle the 4 people trying to check in and the one vendor needing a signature! They did give us a free room upgrade for elite status, which was nice. And, there is a steep pet fee at $25 per night. Sadly, that was the best part of our stay and it was actually off property. Even better, there is an adjacent hotel across the street with a duck pond that our dog absolutely loved swimming in after endless fetch on the grassy banks. This hotel has a nice pet area and plenty of green strips out back for dog exercise. We stayed here in 2014 and had a few issues, but decided to try it again in 2015 as the rate and location were good for our purposes. It was kind of pathetic considering all the room they had in the lobby and throughout the building. fitness room: more like 'large walkin closet' had 2 treads, 1 bike, 1 elliptical & no room for anything else. It worked but required frequent pw entry (each time closed/reopened laptop) 5. Room: clean, quiet, flat TV - it didn't have CNBC but said it did so this should be corrected) 4. Whoever is wrong - this should be corrected. Also despite showing clerk tripadvisor page where it says 'FREE Breakfast', clerk said ''it's not free". Checkin: phone kept ringing, only the 1 front desk clerk who kept answering (this was not at an ungodly hour but 6 pm) took 15 min b/c phone & # checking in. The return shuttle left 5 min late, stopped at Super8 where the guests had to be found (driver went in to find them) & ended up taking 20 min to get to our terminal. When I called Hotel it arrived 20 min later. Shuttle to/from: Free, runs every 30 minutes, shared with Super8 which is 1/4 mile away. A bit subpar for HI & as an airport hotel: 1.
